Donor Perspective

Why I Contribute to LifeSpark, By John Anderson

John Anderson donates to LifeSpark

I was recently asked why I donate to LifeSpark.  ….DONATE…. that sounds like putting your pennies in the collection plate, or giving blindly a pittance out of your paycheck to some agency that will dole a little bit here and a little bit there and I really never see anything come of my “donation”.

I really don’t think that I “donate” anything, it is more that I willingly share something of myself to help out where I can make a real difference. To support someone that is hurting and needs help to heal and get through a really tough time in their lives. I have a driving desire to “make a difference” and know that someone has been helped by what I have been able to give.

So I share… I share from my heart with my time and my skills (I volunteer for LifeSpark, and I serve on the board).  I share where I see a financial need too, I …well we, my wife Ginny and I share some of what we are fortunate to earn; to enable LifeSpark to help as many of the participants as possible. I am amazed that LifeSpark is able to provide comfort to so many participants and at so many places for the truly small budget that LifeSpark has to work with.

I am most grateful that I can be associated with such a loving caring group of folks, and have such an opportunity to share, in so many ways – and that what I can share, does make a difference.

Make an on-line donation.
