"Lifespark was a Godsend, for me."
By Dan Dalpes
I got a cancer…melanoma…damn… my brother Jim died from melanoma. And dad died from colon/kidney/liver cancer… family history.
His mole on his back was bleeding before he checked it out. I was lucky to have Susie, my massage therapist, tell me I needed to check out this funny looking mole on my back.
My VA primary care doctor referred me downtown to dermatology… the same folks that had missed it a few months earlier. I appreciate the care at the VA, but realize that I need to be proactive.
Their concern showed on their faces and in their voices, especially after they took out a good chunk of flesh. The mole was deep—2.2 cm, which seemed small—yet cancerous. So they “lit me up” by injecting radioactive dye to look for cancerous lymph nodes (3). They cut more flesh/fat/muscles from my back and took out the rest (49) of the lymph nodes as a safety precaution. All the tissue checked out clear of cancer… thanks, God.
I read Bernie Siegal books, listened to his healing tapes, and found the Cansurvive group at Mile High Church in Lakewood. They gave me more hope and referred me to Lifespark, where a Healing Touch provider did her magic.
I believed in LifeSpark’s Healing Touch. Always felt lighter afterwards, and the air seemed cleaner… colors more vivid… I felt more alive. They seem to work, and I trust the wholistic healing process more than the medical science. And I pray and meditate lots more lately.
Today I feel lucky, like I’m dodging bullets… no radiation or chemo… periodic Cat/Petscans/MRI’s… my recent dermatology check was clean.
Today I got an extra massage when Susie’s appointment cancelled…thanks, God… and tomorrow I’ll get over to the rec center later to work out some and float in the pool.
Life is good… thanks, LifeSpark, and all of your angels. |
