Sandy is co-founder and Executive Director of LifeSpark Cancer Resources. Sandy has been practicing energy therapies since 1989. She is a Certified Healing Touch Practitioner, and is a Reiki Master trained in five types of Reiki including Usui, Karuna, Jukiden, Holy Fire, and Angel Reiki. She has an MBA from the University of Colorado, Denver, and a BFA from the University of South Dakota.
In addition to LifeSpark, she has held leadership positions in Historic Boulder, Arvada Center for the Arts and Humanities, Healing Touch International, QuaLife Wellness Community, and the Colorado Cancer Coalition.
Ron is a Usui Reiki Master/Teacher. He has been a volunteer for LifeSpark since November 2011. He has served as a Reiki provider, Site Coordinator, Facilities Coordinator, and on the Board of Directors as Facilities Chair, Acting Board President, and current Board President.
Ron’s careers included 20 years in the United States Air Force in Military Personnel – Senior Master Sergeant – USAF Retired and Lockheed Martin with 17 years in multiple management and staff positions. He has also volunteered and served as a part time employee at several Long-Term Care Facilities in the Denver Metro Area providing Reiki sessions. Ron has Master of Arts Degrees in – Management and Human Resources Development and a Bachelor’s in Occupational Business.
Laurel is an entrepreneur and founder of LaurelsLeaves, a topical CBD salve, created to reduce dependence on opioids and other pharmaceutical-based pain management therapies. She has a deep passion to help others cope with chronic pain and continue their quality of life, while performing their daily living activities.
In 2016, Laurel was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma, and began a series of treatments including prescriptions for oxycodone, which caused a lot of additional side effects. Laurel was seeking a natural solution to manage the pain and was referred to Reiki sessions at LifeSpark. As a former participant and volunteer of LifeSpark Cancer Resources, Laurel now serves as the Secretary on the Board of Directors helping plan and strategize brand awareness and fundraising activities.
Nagesh has been a Technology Entrepreneur, guiding companies through developing and monetizing Technology Platforms. Nagesh architected and guided the development of more than 300 systems. Nagesh invests in early-stage growth companies by modernizing their Technology Platforms with an objective of revenue growth.
Nagesh is a recipient of the national-level Thomas Edison Award for automated underground cabling in subdivisions at Xcel Energy, Dale Carnegie’s Lifetime Achievement Award for Exemplary Courage, and 30+ corporate awards for high-quality technology delivery and business strategy.
Nagesh has a master’s degree in Digital Signal Processing from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) and an MBA from Columbia University in New York City. Nagesh also received a Doctorate in Computer Engineering from the University of Rhode Island for developing Fast Fourier Transform algorithms through Tensor Product Algebra.
Holistic health enthusiast, oncology RN by day, Reiki Master by night. Molly is focused on quality, Reiki and humor to improve patient outcomes and staff experience. Over 19 years of healthcare experience including Infusion Nurse, Charge Nurse, Clinical Nurse Coordinator, Nurse Manager, and currently Oncology Clinical Quality Specialist RN at UCHealth.
Molly was a participant in the pilot study for RNs lead by LifeSpark and UCHealth, which allowed her to witness how Reiki benefits both healthcare providers and patients as part of their healing journey. “LifeSpark changed my life and it’s an honor to be a part of the board.”
Geeta Sanganee is a digital marketing manager for an advertising agency serving multiple clients across various industries. She is deeply inspired by LifeSpark’s mission to bring peace and healing to cancer patients and their caregivers. Having personally witnessed the effect of cancer on a family member and also the positive impact of various healing modalities like Reiki, Geeta feels a deep connection to LifeSpark’s mission and is motivated to look for any opportunities to support the organization’s cause. She assists in managing digital advertising for LifeSpark to help expand LifeSpark’s reach amongst a wider audience.
Victoria is a managing partner and financial advisor with Resolute Family Wealth Advisors in Greenwood Village, CO. With over 30 years of experience in the financial services industry, she has helped hundreds of families and small businesses to achieve their financial goals and dreams.
In 2019, Victoria was diagnosed with stage-3 triple-negative breast cancer and came to LifeSpark as a recipient of Healing Touch sessions. After beating her cancer diagnosis, she trained as a Healing Touch and Reiki practitioner and now gives back by volunteering with LifeSpark. Victoria provides sessions to cancer patients at the infusion center at Denver Health Medical Center, as well as in-person and remote sessions. Victoria loves golfing, skiing, and living the Colorado lifestyle with her family and friends.
