Going the distance with Reiki

By Deborah Fox. Distance has never been a problem for Zoila Thaliffdeen, a Reiki provider, LifeSpark provider, and reflexology provider. Peruvian born and raised there, she attended pharmacy school and has worked as a pharmacist for 26 years.

“In 2014, while seeking relief for a long-standing shoulder pain that would not resolve with conventional therapy, I decided to try Reiki. My cousin, a Reiki Master, sent me five distance sessions all the way from Peru to California–and to my surprise, the pain went away!”

A few years later, she decided to take classes in Reiki, hoping to help others.   She has now been practicing Reiki for 7 years.

In 2021, someone on FaceBook mentioned LifeSpark, and she felt a need to do it. Soon after, she began training as a LifeSpark provider, and she loved it. She found a website that answered many of her questions about doing Reiki at a distance and began practicing remote sessions. She now has a few clients and is gaining more experience. One patient called LifeSpark and asked if anyone could speak Spanish. As a native Spanish speaker, Zoila was eager to help and was available.

She recently gave a presentation on Reiki at Providence St. Joesph Hospital in Orange, California, where she works as a pharmacist, which included LifeSpark study results. This presentation led to Monthly Reiki Circles for the cancer survivor group.

Zoila is married to Frank, and they have two adult children. As if she is not busy enough, Zoila began reflexology training and obtained certification as a practicing Reflexology provider from the International Institute of Reflexology in 2023.

She says Reiki has completely changed her life. “Practicing Reiki, I have never felt happier or healthier, and I would love for you to experience similar results!”
