That’s why we are pleased to share that LifeSpark has earned Charity Navigator’s Four-Star rating, the highest rating awarded by America’s largest independent charity evaluator.
Charity Navigator evaluates nonprofits on factors such as financial health, governance, leadership, impact measurement, and organizational effectiveness. Earning a Four-Star rating demonstrates that LifeSpark meets high standards in each of these areas.
For more than 21 years, LifeSpark has provided free Reiki and Healing Touch sessions to individuals with cancer and their caregivers. What began as a small volunteer effort has grown into one of the largest volunteer-based Reiki and Healing Touch organizations serving cancer patients in the country.
Today, nearly 80 trained volunteer providers offer support through hospitals, community locations, and virtual sessions. In 2025 alone, LifeSpark provided approximately 3,000 sessions to nearly 600 individuals facing cancer.
This Four-Star rating is especially meaningful because it reflects more than good financial practices. It recognizes our commitment to measuring outcomes, planning for the future, and ensuring that every donation is used wisely to support those we serve.
We know that when people choose to support a nonprofit, they want confidence that their gift will make a difference. This rating provides independent validation that LifeSpark is fulfilling its mission with integrity and care.
While we are proud of this achievement, our focus remains on the people we serve. Every session represents an opportunity to bring peace, calm, strength, and renewal to someone navigating the challenges of cancer.
