Rapid growth in 2017: In 2017 we delivered 2,606 Reiki and Healing Touch sessions to 247 individuals with cancer and their caregivers. This is more than double the 889 sessions given and 126 people served in 2015.
This rapid growth is the result of many factors including the changes we made to our model in late 2015, which included making our services free, partnering with Elements Massage, and going into people’s homes when needed. In addition, more people are finding out about LifeSpark and the value of our services.
New relationship in 2017 – UCHealth: In late 2017, LifeSpark began a relationship with UCHealth. We are conducting a pilot program where we offer sessions to patients in their Infusion Clinic on the Anschutz Medical Campus.
Other LifeSpark locations:
- Hospitals: We continue to provide services at Denver Health Medical Center (since 2006), and Memorial Hospital in Colorado Springs (since 2014).
- Elements Massage: 2018 is our third year to partner with Elements Massage studios (currently 14 studios participate).
- Local churches: Our relationship continues with five area churches.
